What is a Peshtemal?

Simply put, a Turkish towel is a Peshtemal. Traditionally used in baths, Peshtemals are a staple of Ottoman Hamam culture, dating back hundreds of years. Their thin nature makes them highly absorbent and they dry faster than conventional towels. With each use the hand woven cotton has long fibers that open up, keeping it's soft feel.
